Selling Your House for the Highest Possible Price
When you put your house on the market, something curious happens. Your home evolves into something other than your home – it becomes a commodity.
Working with you, there will be three important goals for me:
- Get the house sold quickly
- Sell it for the highest possible price
- Keep sane throughout the process
For over three decades, this is what I’ve been doing for my sellers.
Over the years, I’ve picked up a lot of knowledge about the Washington area real estate market. It’s about pricing it right – not too high and not too low. Then we have to make your house look appealing to the people likely to buy it. Finally, it’s about helping you evaluate offers that come in and get everyone to the settlement table.
OK. That’s a massive over-simplification of the process. Tha’s why there will be a lot more information when you click the check the posts about buying and selling on the blog.
I’m not one of those agents who work exclusively with sellers. I do about half of my transactions as a buyer broker, and the ability to see your house through buyers’ eyes helps me to work with you to turn your home into, well, buyer bait!
Your Personal Consultation
The person you select to represent you when you sell your home will become an important part of your life while you’re on the market. And it’s important that you like and trust each other.
To get started, we can schedule a Personal Consultation.
I’ll visit your home, do an assessment of your property, and answer your questions. We can go through a room at a time, and you can show me where you live.
Then I will go back to the office and prepare a Competitive Market Analysis to give you a sort of snapshot of the market right now in your neighborhood. What’s for sale and will be our competition? What is under contract, and what sold and for how much? How do these homes compare to yours?
I’ll also make some suggestions about making your home look it’s best with cost-effective changes that can maximize the price and help sell quickly.
If you plan to purchase another home in the area, we can talk about that too. In fact, there are significant advantages to having me help you with both transactions.
This consultation gives us both the opportunity to get to know one another and to see if there’s a good fit. And if it is, let’s get started!
You can fill out the form below, text me, or if you’re really retro, just pick up the phone!
